Adox Chemistry
ATM49
ATM49 is the Adox branding of the Calbe A49 developer and very similar in to the Agfa Atomal developer. ATM49 is a very fine grain developer and well suited to push processing. It can be used as a one-shot developer but 1 litre is sufficient to process 10 films. Can be used directly from the stock solution or diluted 1+1 or 1+2. An excellent all round developer
The developer is formulated as a 2 part powder and packaged as 2 x 1L.
APH09
This is the original Rodinal formulation from the pre-war days, and the replacement for the Calbe R09. Fine grain and an absolute classic developer which is ideally suited for use with older style films such as the ADOX CHS 25 and CHS 100. Used at a 1+25 dilution but can be diluted to 1+50 and even 1+100 so its very economical. This developer lasts forever in the bottle.
ADX
ADOX ADX is a 2 component developer in which the 2 liquid components, A and B, are mixed together immediately prior to use, this enables the developer to combine features which are normally mutually exclusive - very fine grain and high sharpness along with very good film speed and excellent contrast detail. Diluted normally 1+1+24, the 2x250ml packaging will develop between 40 to 60 films.

Adostop
An odourless stop bath based on citric acid, so its quite safe to use and dispose of. ADOSTOP contains an indicator which changes colour when the working solution is near exhaustion. The concentrate is diluted 1+10 for papers and to between 1+20 to 1+40 for films. Use of a stop bath is recommended to immediately arrest the development process at exactly the right time and avoids carry over of developer into the fixer.

Adostab
ADOSTAB is a combined wetting agent and image stabilisor. The wetting agent promotes streak free drying of negatives and shinier prints while the active chemistry acts to stabilize the image archivally so that it reacts less to UV and other environmentally damaging influences such as atmospheric gases which can lead to image bleaching and degradation. In this respect, ADOSTAB functions similarly to selenium toning but with the advantage that no colour shift occurs and its much less toxic. The concentrate is diluted 1+20. Simply dunk the film / paper in the ADOSTAB solution for 2 minutes after washing.

Adofix
A high capacity rapid fixer, Adofix can be used with all black and white films and papers. Dilution 1+4 to 1+9. Fixing time for films 4 minutes, 1 minute for papers.

Adoflo
Highly concentrated wetting agent which aids the draining of the film washing
water by breaking down its surface tension so it flows easily from the film
surface. Reduces the likelihood of drying marks and streaking. It also has
an anti-static effect so dust in the air is not attracted to the film surface.
Can also be used with Fibre based printing papers to enhance the surface gloss.
Dilute 1+400 for papers and 1+700 for films.

ADOX LUX LIQUIDE
LUX Liquide is a liquid photographic emulsion and can be applied to many surfaces - wood, metal, glass and so on. In your darkroom with the safelight on, paint it on to your chosen surface and leave to dry in a dark place. When dry project an image onto it, usually with your enlarger, and develop and fix as you would a normal printing paper. The image will appear on the surface you painted. Can be varnished to protect. The emulsion is packaged as 250ml liquid. Great fun this stuff -everyone should try it!
