FOMA Bohemia Ltd, located in Hradec Kralove just north of Prague in the Czech Republic, has a very long pedigree in the development and manufacture of black and white materials and can trace its history back to the original company formation in 1921. FOMA is a market leader in many of its traditional export markets which comprise mainly the ex-Eastern Bloc countries and the Middle East, FOMA products are sold in over 50 countries worldwide. FOMA's products today are the result of continuous development and innovation and the company was awarded ISO 9001 status in 1997.

Fomapan 200 Creative is a panchromatically sensitized black and white negative film using the latest T-grain crystal technology and so is more analogous to the latest films available on the market than its 100 and 400 brothers which are based on traditional technology. The film exhibits very fine grain, high resolution and sharpness. Over and underexposures of 1EV and 2EV respectively are easily accommodated without changing the processing times. Fomapan 400 Action is a panchromatically sensitized black and white negative film for use in unfavorable lighting situations. Exhibits fine granularity, good resolution and contour sharpness. The wide exposure latitudes allows underexposure by 2EV (without changing processing times) yielding an equivalent film speed of ISO 1600 without loss of quality. |

Fomapan R series are black and white reversal films for slides and cine. FOMA is one of the very few manufacturers now left worldwide who still produce cine films for the amateur.
Fomapan 100 Classic is a panchromatically sensitized black and white negative film exhibiting a very fine grain, high resolution with excellent contour sharpness and a rich, wide range of halftones. This film is especially suited to portrait photography.
Fomapan 100 Classic responds well to overexposure (1EV typically – corresponding to ISO 50) or underexposures of up to 2EV (corresponding to ISO 400) without and change in processing. Push processing to ISO 800 is easily achieved with this highly flexible film. |

| Designed for Cine camera work or for slide presentation the Fomapan R films are medium sensitive (ISO 100), panchromatic black and white reversal films exhibiting very fine grain, high resolution and contour sharpness coupled with a higher contrast level. Fomapan R provides excellent grey tone differentiation in both highlights and shadow areas. The spectral sensitisation of Fomapan R allows the true transfer of colours to the grey scale and allows the full film speed to be exploited even in artificial lighting. |
Fomapan R is one of the very few films now manufactured for the Cine market, although continued use of analogue cine in the digital animation world is still common even in these days of digital photography. Processing is by conventional reversal methods but read the technical data sheet on the FOMA R-100 processing method. |

Efke films are classic high silver content single layer emulsions that produce superb tonality and gray scale. The ISO 25 Efke film is the last old fashioned single layer super fine grain emulsion film being made. If you are looking for a film that will give the early to mid 20th century look than this is it. These films were designed in an era when indoor lighting was by tungsten illumination and indeed you'll get the best results with tungsten lighting. Unlike many modern B&W films these films are true to their rated speed. They have excellent exposure latitude. Unlike modern flat crystal films which are incredibly unforgiving, even a beginner can produce quality images with these films. Large, grain free, enlargements with excellent depth and tonality are easy. Efke films are made using a single poured layer, the old-fashioned way and it is this process that preserves the very special qualities of the film. They are ideal for fine art photographers, classical photographers and anyone who wants to achieve the incredible tonal range and beauty that is Efke. EFKE KB-25 AND EFKE R-25

EFKE KB-100 / EFKE R-100 / EFKE PL-100M
KB-100, R-100 and PL-100M are high panachromatically sensitized black-white negative films. A thin layer of the photographic emulsion and fine grain structure provide high edge sharpness of negatives. Black-white sheet negative film EFKE PL-21M, which is of the same characteristics as the Efke KB-100 and Efke R-100, is primarly intended for portraiture photography, advetisement photography etc. Efkes harmonized panchromatic sensitization is guarantee that these films may be equally successfully applied with daylight and artificial illumination. Resolving power of 100 ISO films is 90 lines/mm. Films sensitivity is 21 DIN (100 ASA, ISO 100/21°, GOST 90), but by developing them in adequate developers Efkes speed utilization may be even twice increased to 400 ISO. |

Classic Pan 200 and 400 are traditional, high silver content emulsion films and exhibit a very linear response which results in very accurate rendering of the real world into the grey scale. Both films are ‘super panchromatic’ and have extended spectral sensitivity into the near infra-red (similar to Ilford SFX), so infra-red type of effects are possible with the use of (dark) red filtering. Classic Pan 200 and 400 are available in 35mm, 120 and also in sheet film format. We recommend that the sheet film is developed carefully by hand with to prevent damage to the emulsion. |
The anti-halation layer in the sheet and roll films is green and is largely removed during the development process, that of the 35mm film is grey.
