These heads are ideal for building a simple, cost effective continuous lighting system, 21cm and 26cm in size the heads are black on the outside, silver inside and have a standard fitting for any lighting stand. The lamp socket can be adjusted along its length to adjust the light output for different lamps.

Upgrade your kit with the giant 40cm lamphead.

With this light you achieve large, shadow free surfaces ideal for whole portraits or large objects. This is the one for the Agrophot 500, but can also be used with the Spiral lamp. The lamps are moveable along the horizontal axis for focussing. ADOLIGHT 40 consists of the lamphead with reflector and the standmount. Although the light will fit on the 63-218cm stands delivered with the ADOLIGHT 20 kit, we really recommend the use of the larger 73-300cm stand.

Fitted with 3 daylight rated lamps and 40cm reflector the ADOLIGHT 3X is a real powerhouse and is by far our most popular light. The 3x150W spiral lamps are energy efficient and are perfect for both black and white and colour photography, digital or traditional film. The kit consists of the lamp holder, reflector and a white diffuser which is a pull fit over the front of the reflector for extra soft lighting for portraiture.

30cm Reflector

The 30cm reflector is a deeper reflector designed to hold the ADOLIGHT 4500LM ‘Artichoke’ lamp or the Agrophot 500 lamp. An easy upgrade to the Adolights 20 kits: simply remove one of the standard 21cm reflectors and fit the 30cm in its place.

To complement the Adolight heads we have chosen the Interfit range of lighting stands. These stands are manufactured from high-grade aluminium with strong nylon reinforced collars and thumbscrews with solid brass head fitting. They are air-cushioned to give maximum protection to the lighting units fitted onto them and are available in the following sizes:

ADOLIGHT 4500LM ‘Artichoke Lamp’

The Artichoke Lamp is an amazing looking lamp with matching amazing characteristics: 450W effective output from this 10 inch long lamp, rated at 6400K. Its uses energy saving technology consuming a meagre 150W. The 4500LM has a standard E27 Edison (screw fitting) and needs a deep reflector (such as the Adolight 30cm) to hold it.

To suit the ADOLIGHT range are 3 choices of lamp: The AGROPHOT 500 Watt is the brightest of the three but with the shortest life – and remember, switch it off every 3-5 minutes to give it a rest. More modern are the ADOLIGHT 250W Quartz Halogen lamps which last a lot longer and can be left on for much longer. AGROPHOT 500 and ADOLIGHT 250 are rated at 3200K, suitable for digital photography and can be used with reversal films if you use an 80A filter.

The ADOLIGHT SPIRAL lamp have the lowest output at 150W, but generate a genuine 5000K daylight spectrum and can be left on as long as needed. The Spiral lamps are perfect for portraiture.
